An evening of immersive art-rock arrives at Ram’s Musique Experience.
Mr. Ago and the Plastic People is the art-rock project of Bangalore/Kochi-based singer-songwriter Abhishek Gopurathinkal. His sound moves fluidly across genres — weaving symphonic textures with elements of blues, jazz, indie, and alternative rock. Influenced by artists such as Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Nina Simone, Arctic Monkeys, and Jimi Hendrix, the project inhabits a sonic space that feels both expansive and intimate.
With the release of his debut single Perfect Lies in 2017 and the self-titled triptych EP Digital Muse in 2019, Mr. Ago established a distinct identity — immersive, contemplative, and quietly unsettling. The music does not rush toward resolution; it lingers in tension, atmosphere, and emotional complexity.
If his sound had a colour, it would be bluish grey — edged with melancholy, threaded with broodiness, and illuminated by sudden surges of intensity.
This performance at Ram’s Musique Experience brings that layered soundscape into an intimate listening room — where distortion, silence, and vulnerability can coexist without distraction.
